Climate change in the Last Days

Over the years, global warming has been a talked about topic. From Al Gore’s climate change activism earning him the Nobel Peace Prize to Greta Thunberg becoming a poster child, it has been an issue with rising concern. Now, more than ever, corporations and governments are starting to clamp down by introducing things like Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) scores; the mention of eating bugs to reduce carbon footprints by the World Economic Forum (WEF); the farming crisis in the Netherlands where the government has stepped in to reduce emissions; and so forth.

While the jury is still out on whether global warming (though science seems to support some type of global warming) is true, one thing that is for sure is “global warming” will be used as leverage to control citizens. The idea that citizens can do the “right thing” and save humanity by reducing their carbon footprint will allow corporations and governments to better dominate society as a whole. In the near future, many will take less freedom thinking they are being a good person. Anyone who goes against this herd mentality of governments and corporations protecting their sheep, or should I say goats in this case, may just about be slaughtered; if this happens during the Tribulation in the Book of Revelation, they may literally be slaughtered (see Revelation 20:4).

The truth of the matter is that while we are called to be good stewards of the land, it is ultimately in God’s hands — not controlling governments or corporations. The wrath of God is real and this is all part of God’s sovereign plans. If we do everything we can within our power to do what is right and within reason, that’s all we can do. As we head towards the Tribulation, the weather will get even worse. Just by observing the weather these days along with other signs, we can deduce that we aren’t too far away from total chaos ensuing. Those who follow the Antichrist will be fooled into thinking we can actually save the planet when it is only God Himself, the Savior of humanity, that can do such a thing. Until then, the world as a whole is going to get increasingly darker and as Thomas Fuller once stated, “it is said that the darkest hour of the night comes just before the dawn.”
