The Tigris and Euphrates rivers are drying up

For the past decade or more, the Tigris and Euphrates rivers have been drying up primarily due to climate change and upstream dam activity (“Bible Prophecy about the Drying up of Euphrates river Has Come True” 00:00:00 – 00:00:20). Why is this important? This is something to take note of because the drying up of the Euphrates river is mentioned in Bible prophecy – specifically, in the Book of Revelation, which relates to the end of times. As it says in the Bible:

The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. Then I saw three impure spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet. They are demonic spirits that perform signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty. (New International VersionRev. 16.12-16)

The drying up of the river has revealed archeological sites which would imply that it has been low in history before and this isn’t the first time. If this area receives substantial rainfall for a continuous period of time, the water levels may somewhat or fully revert back to previous, normal levels. However, given everything else that is going on in the world, including record heat and drought, this may very well be an indication that we are closer to the end of times more than ever.

Who could the kings from the East be? Though it is highly speculative at the present moment, they may be China, Russian, North Korea, etc., given the atheistic populations of these countries. China alone has plenty of people to fuel an army of 200 million with regards to the verse below:

“The number of the mounted troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand. I heard their number” (Rev. 9.16).

Something also important to recognize is this prophecy is mentioned within the bowl judgements – particularly, the sixth bowl judgement. If we look at these events in a chronologically manner, that would be towards the end of an end of times timeline given that it’s at the latter part of the book of Revelation. But, given that the book of Revelation probably isn’t all in perfect, chronological order, it may happen towards the start of the book or maybe it does happen towards the end and, say, the river won’t completely dry up quite yet; it could revert back to some sort of normalcy as previously mentioned before eventually completely drying up.

From this point on, the Euphrates river is an important prophecy to keep an eye on with regards to the overall fulfillment of end times prophecy.
